How can I use custom nameservers with another registar?

In order to use custom nameservers you will first need to know the IP addresses for the default primary and secondary nameservers used on your server. This can be found by pinging the nameservers found in your welcome email.

These default name servers will be in this format:

ns#.yourdomain.com
ns#.yourdomain.com

If you are unaware how to use the ping command in Windows XP please use the link below that will walk you through the process,

Once you obtain these IP addresses, then contact your domain registrar and have the nameservers that you chose (usually dns1/dns2.yourdomain.com/net/org or ns1/ns2.yourdomain.com/net/org) created with those IPs.

Once that is complete, submit a ticket requesting for your custom nameservers to be setup on the hosting servers end. We will then setup your account to use your custom nameservers.
